What motivates you to do what you do?

What most motivates me every day is seeing clients shift from harsh self-criticism to genuine self-compassion. It is a privilege to witness people discover new paths and learn healthy ways to respond to stress, trauma, and relationship challenges.

On Sunday mornings, you can usually find me…

Out on my balcony with my hands in the dirt, watering and trimming my plants. Gardening is so healing for me! Watching soft new leaves and tiny buds slowly sprout always brings me so much joy.

One thing you would like a new client to know about you:

You are the expert on your own life. My role is to serve as a supportive guide and collaborator, offering practical tools, fresh perspectives, and a safe, non-judgmental space for healing and growth.

QUOTE I LOVE

“The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”   —Nelson Mandela

Favorite movie:

One of my favorite movies is Hacksaw Ridge. The moment that touches me most is when the main character, Desmond, repeatedly says, “Please let me get one more.” Even though others doubted him, he stayed fully committed to saving lives in his own peaceful way. It is a powerful reminder that we can make a meaningful difference by staying true to our values and that everyone has an incredible capacity to overcome and heal.

Where did you go to school?

I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I am a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP) in the state of Nebraska.

My grandfather is my greatest role model. As a dentist, he provided affordable or free care to clients who couldn’t pay and helped those experiencing homelessness. He filled our home with humor and taught us to live with integrity, compassion, and hope.
