What motivates you to do what you do?
I’m passionate about helping others feel understood and supported, especially in moments when life feels overwhelming. Whether through my work in mental health or simply by being there for a friend, I’m driven by the belief that compassion and understanding can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.
What is one thing you would like a new client to know about you?
My approach is client-centered, meaning you are the expert of your journey. My goal is to create a nonjudgmental environment and help you explore difficult topics. As we get to know each other, you’ll learn I also love to use fun metaphors.
Favorite hobby?
I have a few hobbies—weather permitting! Some of my favorites include traveling, boating, yoga, and photography.
QUOTE I LOVE
“I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning to sail my ship.” —Louisa May Alcott
Favorite song?
“Lovely” by Billie Eilish and Khalid. I remember first hearing it — the way their voices blended together sounded angelic. The song captures feelings of loneliness while still holding onto hope for better days, which brought me comfort during times when I’ve felt alone.
Where did you go to school?
I received my B.A. in Psychology, followed by my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO). I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and hold a provisional license here in the state of Nebraska (PLMHP).
Tell us about a person who means a lot to you.
One person who has always meant a lot to me is my grandma, Donna. As a nurse, she spent her life caring for others. She had a way of making everyone around her feel supported, and she showed me what unconditional love truly looks like.
